How to claim Bitcoin Gold in Coinomi using Backup Phrase.

We people must aware on 1^st Nov 2017, hard fork happened and new cryptocurrency Bitcoin Gold (BTG) born.

Most of the crypto lovers kept bitcoin in their wallets to get bitcoin gold in 1:1 ratio.

I studied it and successfully received equivalent BTG in coinomi BTG wallet. 

Here is step by step article to know how to claim it.

Be ready with Backup Phrase of bitcoin wallet (here it is exodus). There is some wallet who allow to export private key of bitcoin wallet.

Note: I hope you have export of backup strings which was taken after 25^th Oct 2017.

Step 1: open the app. It will ask for create and restore it. Click on restore and enter the backup phrase and click on finish.

Because of privacy issue i have edited the snaps.

Step 2: once the seeds get restored properly you will see BTC which had at the time of fork.

Step 3: now go to menu and click on +COINS and select Bitcoin Gold, then pop up will came as shown below

Step 5: then pop up will be seen asking for if BTG should be added. Hit ADVANCED SETTING button & write in Deviation Path: M/44H/0H/0H

Note: before H its ‘zero’ not alphabet.

Click on ADD and Booooooooooooooooooom JJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

Your Bitcoin Gold Wallet is ready with same quantity of BTC.

Note:

If you have more than one Bitcoin wallet in your Coinomi account and you want to claim the equivalent BTG. Only you will have to repeat the above process, by replacing the last zero with the account index each time. So for the second wallet, this would be M/44H/0H/1H, and for the third wallet it would be M/44H/0H/2H, and so forth.
